Ahhh, the famous words about planning. Darn, if only someone could take care of that part of your business for you so you do have to.
That’s what we do here at Heartfire Media! It also happens that we are good at it. We plan and execute winning strategies for busy business owners….just like you.
Although I already know that many of you will wait until January of 2015 or even later, the best time to start is right now (so you get a head start on your competitors). Here are a few things you need to ask yourself to stay ahead of the game.
#1 What is my goal for 2015?
Give yourself numbers and and achievable milestones. Write them down.
#2 What marketing strategies will I need to achieve that goal?
Do you need a new website or need to update the one you have? New marketing material? Videos for web or TV commercials? Testimonial video? PR campaign? Advertising?
# 3 What is my budget?
This is a big one. Many of you aren’t aware that there is such a thing as a marketing budget. For those of you ready to take your business to the next level, make a marketing budget and make it now. Yes, right now. Put down the coffee, finish reading this blog and get on it!
The largest companies in the world ALWAYS marketing and ALWAYS advertise. Never ever ever stop marketing. Think about it for a moment: Coca Cola, Apple, McDonald’s, and Disney. They know what I’m talking about, they have a marketing plan, a budget and do you know what else they have? They have time tested, proven knowledge that now is the time to get your 2015 marketing plan written down and in the books.
Now, I know you are thinking, “How much is this going to cost me, Sam?” The answer is, “How much more money do you want to earn in 2015 and beyond?”
Your marketing investment can range from a thousand dollars to hundreds of thousands of dollars. The more you put into it, the more you will get out of it. But no worries, Heartfire Media is competitive. We can work with any budget.
#4 Am I willing to commit to making these projects happen?
Execution is key. We can plan all we want, but if we don’t execute, it’s pointless. Take time to commit to investing in your own business, you have nothing to lose. What is the worst that can happen? Someone sees that you have an actual video on YouTube? Someone picks up a snazzy brochure of yours? Someone stumbles upon your website online? Someone likes the way you come across and gives you a call? It’s all about exposure. People do business with people who they feel like they know and someone whom they can trust.
When we put it that way, marketing isn’t risky at all. In fact, it can be a solid game changer.
Who doesn’t want to plan many ways to bring in more business that ever in 2015?!!! I know I do, and I already have some things in the works. Remember- you can be great at what you do, but if no one knows who you are, it really doesn’t matter. Get your name out there!
